With the “Creatives for Vienna – Making Spaces” competition, the Vienna Business Agency invited people to develop and refine spaces for creative uses.
A total of 139 concepts were submitted to the Vienna Business Agency by mid-March 2023. Spaces play a crucial role for the collaborative, cooperative and connected work of creative professionals as sites of encounter, exchange and inspiration. In addition to concepts for their own rooms, the participants were also able to develop and submit uses for four advertised rooms.

The award-winning projects
The 15 projects selected and awarded prizes by a jury range from creative interim uses such as a Lido for Ottakring to cowriting spaces for musicians, a hub for responsible fashion and a center for the circular and creative economy. The winners each received prize money of 15,000 euros.
