Our symposium on the added value of vacancy activation took place a year ago. This year, we are not inviting people to attend, but we do have a video review, exciting event tips and calls for people looking for space. What else has happened? The second VCC focus group has started, the press has reported on temporary use in the real estate magazine and we are back on the podium.

Take a look: Impressions of the Symposium 2023

Exactly one year ago, Kreative Räume Wien, in cooperation with the Vienna Business Agency, organized the symposium CIRCULAR POTENTIALS – Added value of vacancy activation.

As part of our excursion, we visited exciting projects, had international guests and gathered valuable knowledge in workshops and on the podium with experts, discussed and shared experiences in the field of vacancy activation and the circular economy. To relive these inspiring moments, we have created a video review .

All information about the symposium can be found on our website. You can also listen to the presentations and the discussion there and on YouTube.

Join in: Scullery in the old WU becomes an exhibition experiment

As a public community studio, Machen Sachen is now also trying out an exhibition experiment with PUZZLETILES. And invites anyone who would like to exhibit to join in!

The Machen Sachen collective has been offering an open studio space and workshops from various creative fields since October 2023. They are temporarily using the ‘Wolke’ space of the Althangrund für Alle initiative in the old WU, the former refectory of the former business school. Their idea: anyone who likes to be creative is invited to use the space and setting.

In the former scullery of the old canteen, all the walls from the floor to the ceiling are covered with tiles. The white, square tiles have a uniform size of just over 19 x 19 cm. The participants have the opportunity to position any number of small-format works in the space they choose. The aim is to collect as many different perspectives and works as possible and put them together like a puzzle to create an overall picture. After all, it is the many individual parts that make up the whole.

WHEN: Exhibition on 22 June 2024 / registration until 18 June 2024
WHERE: Alte MENSA / Kulturzentrum 4lthangrund / Alte WU(Augasse 2-6, 1090 Vienna)

All information on how to take part can be found at this online link. Atelier Machen Sachen are on Instagram and have a website.
