What is the economic and innovation strategy?
The VIENNA 2030 innovation strategy’s key topics include:
- Smart solutions for the urban living space of the 21st century
- Health metropolis Vienna
- Viennese digitization
- Smart production in the big city
- City of international encounters
- Cultural and creative metropolis Vienna
Vienna is developing six top international topics along 10 fields of action by 2030. Since the end of 2019, Vienna’s economic and innovation strategy has been systematically developed and implemented with broad participation. The aim is to unlock the potential for employment, value creation and innovation in the city. The strategy was developed together with companies, social partners and the scientific community in 2019 on behalf of City Councillor for Economic Affairs Peter Hanke.
We would like to thank Kreative Räume Wien for being a lead project in the ‘Vienna as a cultural and creative metropolis’ field! This will give the topic of vacancy activation and interim use even more visibility. We are also looking forward to great new projects in 2024!
