Organized by the Creative Spaces Vienna in cooperation with the Vienna Business Agency, this year’s symposium “Circular Potentials – Added Value of Vacancy Activation” will focus for two days (14 and 15 June 2023) on the economic, ecological and socio-cultural added value created by the activation of vacant properties.
Vacancy activation and temporary use offer opportunities on several levels to meet the challenges of contemporary urban development. At the symposium, project examples from Vienna, Berlin, St. Gallen, Bremen, Riga and Ebeltoft in Denmark will demonstrate the diversity of uses and opportunities that can unfold in these potential spaces.
The symposium is aimed at representatives from municipal administration, the real estate industry, property owners and administrations, the interested (specialist) public, research and science, as well as representatives of specialist magazines in the field of real estate and architecture.
Symposium: Volunteers wanted
Kreative Räume Wien is looking for volunteers (helping hands) who can support the Kreative Räume Wien team from June 13 to 15 in the preparation and implementation of the symposium “Circular Potentials – Added Value of Vacancy Activation”.
We need support in these areas:
- Registration of participants / Admission
- Production support
- Set-up and dismantling (technical equipment, seating, etc.)
- Support for panel sessions
What we offer:

Of course, flexible scheduling is possible depending on availability. The most important thing for us would be that you have time on day 1 of the symposium (June 14).
